A weekly look at local kids playing at the collegiate level:

Brittany Champagne, Dartmouth girls soccer

The sophomore and Suffield native has earned assists in three of the Green Wave’s past four games, all wins. Champagne’s assists came in home wins against Sacred Heart and UMass-Lowell on September 20th and this past Thursday and yesterday’s 3-0 win at Maine. Champagne has started all 10 games for 7-1-2 Dartmouth.

Ashleigh Allen, Endicott field hockey

The senior midfielder and former Glastonbury High star had a solid week for the Gulls, scoring in a win at Nichols and earning an assist in a loss to New England. Allen’s first goal of the season came in a dominant 6-0 win this past Sunday, as she beat the goalie on a high shot from the slot. Earlier in the week, she earned an assist on Endicott’s second goal of the game in a tough 3-2 loss to UNE. Allen has started every game for the 5-5 Gulls and leads the team in assists with 6.

Kelly Curaso, Quinnipiac girls soccer

Curaso, a junior midfielder, helped lead the Bobcats to a 4-2 win at rival St. Peter’s this past Saturday by earning three points (one goal, one assist). The Rocky Hill native assisted on the game’s opening goal by teammate Jessica Jankowski and scored on a penalty kick late in the first half to give Quinnipiac a 3-1 led. It was the fourth multi-point game of Curaso’s career. She has started six games for the 5-3 Bobcats.
