Bracket Breakdown: Field Hockey

Several area teams will look to make noise in their respective field hockey tournaments, with Enfield getting things started Monday at 2 p.m. at Shepaug Valley. The Raiders must win their qualifying game after a 6-8-1 record got them the 17th seed. A win would send them to the No. 1 seed in Class S Nonnewaug the following day.

Also in Class S, 5 seeded Suffield hosts Killingly at 2 p.m. Tuesday and 7 seeded Canton hosts Westbrook at the same time.

In class M, 11-3-2 Avon earned the No. 4 seed and will host Brookfield Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Fermi, the 12 seed, travels to New Fairfield, while No. 7 seeded Farmington hosts Bethel.

Three teams look for the Class L crown, as South Windsor travels to New Canaan Wednesday at 5 p.m., and Simsbury and Glastonbury each host a first round game against opponents to be announce.
