Weekly College Notebook: Mens Players Step up in Quiet Week
- Updated: December 27, 2015

Many college teams did not compete during the last week and a half due to final exams and the holiday break. A trio of basketball players distinguished themselves for the mens teams that did, however.
Tarchee Brown and Hugh Lindo starred for Eastern Connecticut at the Daytona Beach Shootout on December 20th and 21st. Brown and Lindo averaged 15 and 13 points in games against Berry and LaGrange, with the first being an overtime win. Brown sealed Saturday’s win by making four field goals in the final 25 seconds, and the former Rockville High star finished with 16 points and six rebounds. Lindo, the former Enfield High standout, had both 14 points and rebounds and smacked five blocks. The senior also had a double-double against LaGrange, grabbing 11 boards.
Southern New Hampshire senior forward BJ Cardarelli played very well in the Penmen’s win against Lincoln last Sunday. The former Manchester High star scored a season-high 15 points, making 3-4 three-pointers, and added six rebounds and two steals.
