Tuesday, Nov. 24

Tolland at E.0. Smith, 6:00 p.m.

Last Year: Tolland 28, E.O. Smith 18

Records: Tolland 2-6, E.O. Smith 3-5

Overall Series: Tolland has won three of the past five games.

News and Notes: Tolland will try to end the season on a positive note with a win in this always exciting matchup. The Eagles offense relies on a punishing ground game led by senior Eddie Mesnil, who rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns in last year’s game. They have defeated Fermi and Northwest Catholic. Tolland will catch E.O. Smith at a good time, as the reeling Panthers have lost four consecutive games.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

East Hartford at Manchester, 6:30 p.m.

Last Year: Manchester 32, East Hartford 28

Records: Manchester 2-6, East Hartford 5-4

Overall Series: Manchester has won the past two games.

News and Notes: Manchester will look to end the season by pulling an upset against their rival. The Indians have a strong passing game led by quarterback Edison Galan and receivers Jevon Frett and Anthony Lawson. Manchester has beaten Simsbury and Bulkeley/Hartford Magnet/Weaver. East Hartford has lost two consecutive games.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

Northwest Catholic at East Catholic, 6:30 p.m.

Last Year: Game Not Held

Records: East Catholic 6-3, Northwest Catholic 3-5

Overall Series: This is the first year the game has been held.

News and Notes: East Catholic is hoping to kick the series off with a bang by gaining a big win over Northwest Catholic. The Eagles feature a solid defense and one of the top running backs in the area in Andre Brackett, who has run for 791 yards and 11 touchdowns. Their most recent win was against Maloney, which it blew out 44-12. Northwest has lost three consecutive games.

Thursday, Nov. 26

RHAM at Bacon Academy, 10:00 a.m.

Last Year: Bacon 20, RHAM 14

Records: RHAM 1-7, Bacon 7-1

Overall Series: RHAM and Bacon have traded the past two games.

News and Notes: RHAM will have a tough task in front of them when they travel to Colchester, as Bacon is in contention for a Class M playoffs berth. The Sachems are led on offense by quarterback Jack Tillinghast and wide receiver Ben Hass, who also plays cornerback.   Their lone win came against Farmington. Bacon rallied from a 14-0 halftime deficit to win last year’s contest. The Bobcats are currently ranked sixth in Class M.
