RHAM Volleyball Advances to Final

The RHAM girls volleyball team defeated Farmington 3-2 Thursday night in the Class L tournament semifinals to advance to Saturday’s championship game.

The top-seeded Sachems rebounded from a 25-18 loss in the first game to win the next two by scores of 25-22 and 25-19. The fifth-seeded Indians showed toughness in winning the fourth set 25-22, but RHAM clinched the win by taking the fifth set 25-19.

RHAM (23-1) will play CCC rival Platt (21-3) Saturday at 4:00 at Berlin High School. The seventh-seeded Panthers handed the Sachems their only loss of the season two weeks ago when they defeated RHAM in the CCC Tournament championship game. The Sachems will look to repeat as champions. It is the eighth time in nine years the program has advanced to the L  tournament finals.
