How do you prepare before a game/meet? We have our whole team stay very hydrated the two days leading up to races, while eating healthy. The day of races we like to warm up and stretch adequately before our races.
What has been the best moment thus far this season? Winning the seeded race at the Wickham invitational as a team. Coming from 19th, to 4th, to 1st over the past three years has really meant a lot to me. Our team overall has improved drastically, and I’m proud of all the work everyone has been doing.
What has been your biggest highlight to date in your high school uniform? Definitely during indoor track season last year, I had a very good mile race. My time wasn’t the best out there, but I was happy everything went right.
Who has been your biggest sports influence? My coaches. They are ecstatic whenever they see us improve, and their coaching really helps us help ourselves.
Who is your favorite pro or college athlete? I see Ben True as one of my favorite pro athletes. He runs the 5k and 10k and has qualified for the olympic trials next year.
What are your plans beyond high school? I plan to attend and run for a college, and hopefully get a major in Finance. I can’t really see myself moving out of New England.
