RCP Eliminated from World Series With Loss to S.C.

RCP was eliminated from the American Legion World Series on Sunday afternoon by Chapin-Newberry, South Carolina, in a 7-6 loss.

RCP started off the game on a roll, taking a 6-0 lead after four innings. Austin White earned two RBIs during the stretch. Meanwhile, Cole Ogorzalek continued to pitch well, and RCP led 6-1 entering the eighth. In that inning, South Carolina tied the record for biggest World Series comeback ever. After scoring two quick runs, Kevis Burton hit a 3-run double to tie the game and Landon Allison followed with a go-ahead single. RCP was shut down by Corey Stone in the final two innings.

Cory Baldwin went 2-4 and scored twice, and Ogorzalek pitched all nine innings. RCP ends the season 37-7.
