RCP Falls in First World Series Game

SHELBY, NC-The RCP U-19 American Legion Team lost today at the American Legion World Series to Midland, Michigan by a score of 12-1. Midland took an early 2-0 lead, and RCP failed to score in the top of the fourth after loading the bases with no outs. From then on it was all Midland, as it scored 10 consecutive runs to take a 12-0 lead. RCP scored its lone run in the top of the seventh on a Cole Ogorzalek RBI single.

Chris Bouchard and Leo Thomas each had 2 hits for RCP. Tommy Seaver started the game and was followed by Matt Osara, Kevin Larkin and Danny Ambler. RCP next faces New Orleans tomorrow at 12:30.
