How I prepare for a game:  Before any meet or game, whether it is track or soccer, I always put my headphones in and listen to my music. I then always imagine what I want to accomplish in that meet or game to come out on top.

What are you most excited about this season? I am most excited about my 300 meter hurdle race because I am seeded second overall in Class LL and I would love to overcome the first place girl and be All-State again with a first place medal.  Most importantly, I want to get 10 points for my team. I am also excited about my new role in the 4×400 because we have been continuously improving our time and I can’t wait to see how we do in the upcoming meets.

Most memorable moment as a high school athlete: Being a part of Class LL Champion teams in both in soccer and indoor track this year are definitely moments I will remember. Both days were crazy in a good way. The day of our soccer championship the Glastonbury boy’s soccer team and the girl’s field hockey team played earlier in the day and both won championships.  Our team wanted to continue the winning streak, and we did, beating Fairfield Warde 2-1.  For track, the meet came down to the last event and I will not forget screaming to my teammates to run hard and win their event.  They did, and we won the championship.

What do you hope to accomplish this season: My goal this season is for our team is to win the Class LL title in outdoor track, making it the third championship team I was part of this year. I would also like to make a return trip to the New Englands and proudly represent Glastonbury High School with my teammates.

Favorite pro or college athlete: Women’s National Soccer player Abby Wambach.

College plans: I plan to play soccer at a division 1 college while studying athletic training.
