Top Performers of the Week


Josh Langley, Fermi-The senior had an outstanding week both on the mound and at the plate. Langley threw a no-hitter Friday against East Hartford in a 1-0 win. Two days earlier, he went 3-4 with 5 RBI against Rocky Hill in a 12-5 triumph.

Tyler Brett, RHAM-The junior led the Sachems to their first two wins of the season Wednesday and Friday. Brett went 2-5 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored in the first win against Rockville, and threw a complete game against Glastonbury while striking out 8.

Brian Hollister, Somers-The senior was outstanding at the plate in a 13-4 blowout of East Windsor, going 3-4 with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Hollister has led SHS to five consecutive wins.

Tom Barone, RHAM-The senior combined to go 5-6 with 5 RBI against Rockville and Glastonbury.

Jake Pallotti, Suffield-The senior’s 6 RBI was the difference maker in a 12-10 win against SMSA.


Kristi Van Meter, RHAM-The sophomore star showed off her versatility yet again against East Catholic and Lyman Memorial. Van Meter recorded 12 strikeouts in a loss to East Catholic before rebounding the next day by shutting out Lyman Memorial, recording 10 punch outs. She also recorded 3 extra base hits and drove in five runs.

Becca Rewinski, South Windsor-The senior outfielder smacked 3 doubles and drove in 3 in a 14-0 blowout of Wethersfield.

 Natalia Villareal, Somers-The sophomore menaced East Windsor on the base paths in a big win, stealing 4 bases and scoring 5 runs.

Ashley Landolina, Tolland-The junior propelled THS to an extra-inning victory at East Hartford with an eight-inning grand slam.  

Sofie Oliveira, Shaelyn Pomeroy and Sara Bycenski, Windsor Locks-The trio each drove in four runs in a 29-25 triumph at Gilbert.


Jared Anderson, Rocky Hill-The senior scored a total of 13 goals in contests against Rockville and Ellington.

Christian Paley, Somers-The sophomore starred in three blowout wins, scoring 14 goals overall. Paley has helped Somers go 7-0 thus far.

Mike Hawkins and Drew Babiak, Glastonbury-Hawkins scored 14 goals overall in three wins, while Babiak, a senior, averaged six goals in wins over McMahon and RHAM.

Andrew Moller, Ellington-The junior came through in the clutch at Rocky Hill, scoring 7 goals in the 11-10 victory.


Delaney Tierney, Suffield-The junior scored earned 11 goals overall in losses to Haddam-Killingworth and Berlin.

Sierra Hibbs and Lauren Crusha, South Windsor-Hibbs scored a total of 9 goals in contests against RHAM and Cheshire, while Crusha scored 7 goals against the same teams.

Danielle Hollister, Somers-Scored 6 goals in a blowout of Suffield.

Taylor Walker, Glastonbury-The senior averaged 3 goals in wins over Greenwich and Avon.


Kevin Benoit, South Windsor-The senior led the Bobcats to an impressive sweep of Enfield with 19 digs and 15 service points.

Igor Biahliak, Rockville-Recorded 19 kills and 10 aces in a sweep of Conard.

Connor Johnson, Glastonbury-The junior stretched his way to 21 digs during a sweep at Conard.
