Name: Michael Stoker

Sports: Cross Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track


Michael has been high honors since freshman year and has been named to the All-Academic team. He has been a varsity runner and All-Conference since his freshman year. This year, he made All-State. Michael has been to the Junior Olympic National Championships for the past six years and a Junior Olympic All-American for the past two years. 


How Michael prepare for a meet:  I have a pasta dinner the night before each meet, and then I get up early to have a healthy breakfast. Before the race, I listen to classic rock to pump me up for the race. I also go through a specific stretching and plyometric routine to get loose for the race.  Last, I strap on my spikes and I am ready to run.

What Michael was most excited about this season: This season, I have broken my PR’s for the 1000 meters, 1600 meters, 3200 meters, and I hope to continue to lower my times.

Michael’s most memorable moment as a high school athlete: Being Co-Conference CCC Champions two years in a row.

What Michael hopes to accomplish this season: I hope to qualify for New Englands this year and to break certain school records.

Michael’s favorite pro or college athlete: Leo Manzano – silver medalist from the United States in the 2012 Olympics.

College plans: I plan to run in college, and my goal is to run at the Division 1 level.  I am interested in studying something in the field of health and science.
