How Danielle prepares for a game: I prepare for a game by having a strong warm up with my team and by focusing on both my individual and team goals.

What Danielle is most excited about this season: This season, I’m most excited about being a role model to my teammates. In past years, I’ve always looked up to the seniors that lead us from pre-season to playoffs, and I’m excited to finally do the same for my younger teammates.

Danielle’s most memorable moment as a high school athlete: The most memorable moment I’ve had as a high school athlete was the battle against our rival, Glastonbury, in the playoffs. Although we were defeated in penalty kicks, it was an exhilarating 80 minutes, and it was the best effort my team had put forth. It made me realize that we were strong enough to compete with a top team in our conference, and that I had helped my team get as far as we did.

What Danielle hopes to accomplish this season: This season, I hope to be recognized as an All-State athlete and be undefeated in the regular season. I look forward to advancing as far as possible in the playoffs and leaving everything on the field for my last season.

Danielle’s favorite pro or college athlete: My favorite professional athlete is Wayne Rooney, the forward on Manchester United. I admire his strength and confidence on the field, and how he is a team player.

Danielle’s college plans: I am currently verbally committed to Sacred Heart University, and look forward to competing at the Division 1 level and major in physical therapy.
