Most memorable thing about high school: Baseball is the most memorable part of high school for me. It allowed me to have friends immediately after moving here from Florida, which was huge for a new kid in Tolland. As a team, we have competed and had fun for the three years that I’ve been here. Because of baseball, I’ve been able to tour different colleges and meet many coaches and players and just do some really cool stuff.

Biggest influence in life: Easily my parents. I’ve always had someone there for me whatever the situation and I know I can turn to them for anything.

If I could change one thing in the world, it would be: I would give every country access to first-world medical technology and resources.

What it means to be named scholar athlete of the year: It really means a lot to be recognized out of the many student-athletes in my school who excel both on the field and in the classroom.

College plans: I will be attending Pomona College in Claremont, California where I will pursue a degree in engineering. I will also be a member of the baseball team.

Plans after college: I would love to spend some time in Europe after I graduate, with the opportunity to continue playing baseball. I’m really into foreign languages and I think the chance to live in a part of the world where so many foreign languages are spoken with so many different cultures would be incredible. After the experiences I will have in college and internationally, I feel like I would have more of an idea as to what I want to do for a career.
