Ellington Softball Players Give Back to School

The Ellington varsity and junior varsity softball teams gave back to their school in early May by taking a day and painting the dugouts at the field.

Besides playing softball, a great majority of the players are honor roll students. They have also helped out the Ellington Little League by putting on a clinic for the younger players in town to improve their skills.

They have helped coordinate and run the Relay for Life at the high school, they volunteer at church groups, teach Bible school, have participated in a Walk to Save the Bay and a Walk for Hunger, volunteer at soup kitchens, rake leaves, and coach rec. basketball and softball.

The coaches feel this is a small representation of what all the athletes in Ellington do.
