SWHS SAM Miread Kelly

Miread is an honor roll student at South Windsor High School. She has played one year of junior varsity softball and two years varsity softball. She has been the starting catcher for varsity for two years and has been in the top four for batting average for three years.

How Miread prepares for a game: I try to focus as much as I can and not let my mental game over take my physical game.

What Miread is most excited about this season: Making it to states and showing everyone what South Windsor is really made of.

Miread’s most memorable moment as a high school athlete: Winning the first round of states my sophomore year, the first time in five years for us.

What Miread hopes to accomplish this season: Making it as far as we can in states, and being a good role model and captain for my teammates.

Miread’s favorite pro or college athlete: Molly Fichtner

Miread’s college plans: I don’t know where I would like to go yet, but I will major in criminal justice and minor in education.
