Ellington, SW Off to Solid Starts

After a slow start, the Ellington softball team is rounding into great shape. The Knights are on a winning streak of 10 straight games to improve to 1-03. The top offensive player has been Arianna DiCioccio with six homers through 10 games. She is followed closely by Samantha Anthony, who leads the team in hits. Both players are also the pitchers. Anthony has nine wins. Other players who have performed well are Bri DeLand and Danielle Markowski. “For a team with only one senior, the more games we play, the stronger they will become from gaining real game experience,” said coach Tom Gordon.
