Rocky Hill S.A.M. Tommy Seaver

Rocky Hill SAM: Tommy Seaver

Tommy has played varsity football and baseball for three years, and basketball for four. He has also been on the honor roll and the CCC-All-Academic Team for four years, and has earned the National Scholar Athlete Award with the Football Foundation. He has been All-State and All-Conference in football the past two years, and was senior captain this season. He was also team captain this past basketball season, and was All-Conference as a junior and senior. Currently, he is captaining Rocky Hill’s baseball team, where he was named All-Conference as a junior.

How I prepare for a game:

I am very superstitious on gameday. My mom makes me French toast for breakfast every game day and I eat the same Subway sandwich before each game. I also sit in the same spot on the bus ride and get focused by listening to my music. It is very important for me to get focused and ready for every game.

What are you most excited about this season?

We started the year off great with some big wins, and really bonded as a team on our trip to Florida. I am excited for our team to have a great finish to the year and compete for a championship.

Most memorable moment as a high school athlete:

It was great to win my first playoff games in both football and basketball this year. I will definitely remember those forever. I am excited to do the same in baseball and finish strong.

What do you hope to accomplish this season?

I want to finish the year how we began it and compete for the CCC-East title and make a run in the Class M playoffs.

Favorite pro or college athlete:

My favorite athlete is Rob Gronkowski from the New England Patriots. I relate to him because he is on my favorite team, we play the same position and I try to evolve my game around what he does. He is a great player and person and that is why I strive to be like him.

College plans:

I will be attending Salve Regina University. I plan on being an Education/Mathematics major, along with a Special Education minor. I will also be playing both football and baseball for the school.
