How Austin prepares before a match: Coach tells us about an MMA fighter who always steps into his match with the thought in his head that he has already won that match. I have come to do this myself.

What Austin is most excited about with regards to the winter season: Being my last year as a high school wrestler, I hope to go out with the best standing record as I possibly can.

Austin’s most memorable thus far moment in his high school uniform: Some of the teachers I have met in high school are people I will remember for the rest of my life.

What Austin hopes to accomplish with his winter team: I feel like I can win my CCC tournament as well as earn a spot in the top 6 of the Class M tournament. That would qualify me for States.

Austin’s favorite pro or college athlete: I would pick Zach Rey of Lehigh University. He wrestles as a bigger heavyweight than most experienced wrestlers in college.

Austin’s college plans: I will attend Eastern Connecticut State University for a degree in social work.
