Glastonbury A-Team Has Perfect Season

BERLIN- Glastonbury completed a perfect 11-0 season on Sunday by defeating South Windsor 40-22 in the A-Team championship game in Berlin.

The South Windsor Panthers finished the season 9-2, with it’s only two losses coming against the Glastonbury Tomahawks.  Last year, as B-teams, this Glastonbury team lost its only two games to the Panthers, including a loss in the championship game. The Panthers finished last season as undefeated champions, but the Tomahawks turned the tables on South Windsor with the 40-22 win.

Quarterback Ben Tauber and running back Ryan Kapur, who was the life of the Tomahawks offense, led Glastonbury.

South Windsor received solid play from quarterback Gavin Duff and running back Randy Holmes, as well as outstanding defense from Ankit Saini.

“I’m glad we had a game like that,” Glastonbury head coach Hans Kretzmer said of the hard-fought battle.  “We accomplished all of our goals this season.”
