Glastonbury girls proud of performance at New Englands

This past weekend on Saturday November 9th, the Glastonbury girls cross country team competed in the New England Championships.

The race took place on a hilly course at Derryfield Park in Manchester New Hampshire. The Glastonbury girls ran their best race of the season as every girl on the team ran a personal best.

To capture an excellent 5th place finish in New England the Glastonbury girls team was led by Allison McArdle. McArdle ran a phenomenal race breaking nineteen minutes with a time of 18:59.7 to finish 38th overall. Continuing to add to her great season as a freshman, Gaelyn Kattman flew across the line in a time of 19:07.9.

Next for the team was Kaitlyn Hebert who brought the third personal best of the race to the team crossed the line with a great time of 19:17.0. Kaylee Stebbins ran a break out race while crushing the twenty minute barrier and blazing across the line in a time of 19:42.8.

Kristen Arborio finished next for the team using the downhill to her advantage and cruising through the course to finish with a time of 19:47.2. Not too far behind was Kat Hastings who ran an excellent race and kicked it in at the end to pass several girls finished with a time of 20:04.8.

Cami Santor rounded out the Glastonbury team with an extremely zippy time of 21:34.8. On the cloudy and cold Saturday the Glastonbury girls cross country team finished an amazing race and ended their season with a bang.
