Bracket Breakdown: Boys Soccer

The boys soccer fields are littered with local contenders seeking to advance as far as possible in their respective tournaments.

First in Class LL, after just slipping into the tournament as a No. 25 seed, the Simsbury Trojans will travel to Amity Tuesday at 2 p.m.

In stark contrast, the No. 4 Glastonbury Tomahawks knew they would be in the field for a while, and look to take care of business at home against Hamden Tuesday at 2 p.m.

In Class L, No. 8 Farmington hosts ND-WH in a 6 p.m. start from Tunxis Mead Tuesday evening, and rival Avon will host North Haven at 2 p.m.

Class M is where Suffield will compete for a state title, and the Wildcats earned a first round bye with a perfect undefeated season. They will start their tournament in the second round hosting either Brookfield or Holy Cross Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Tolland is another contender in Class M, with a No. 7 seed and a home game against Granby Tuesday at 4 p.m. to start their tournament.

Ellington hosts Northwestern at 2 p.m. to round out the Class M action.

Class S has local flavor as well, with Windsor Locks traveling to Wamogo Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Somers earned a bye thanks to a 12-4 campaign and will host Old Lyme in the second round Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Canton is the final tournament team, the No. 19 seed will head to Hale Ray Tuesday at 2 p.m.
