FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Week 5

NEWINGTON — The Glastonbury Tomahawks kept their unstoppable play going Friday night, shutting out the Indians 33-0, led once again by quarterback Jalen Ollie.

The win is Glastonbury’s fourth straight after a loss to Southington to start the season. last week they narrowly defeated one of the state’s best teams, NFA.

Farmington 35, E. O. Smith 0: The Indians remain perfect thanks to big days from Kenny Jones and Ivan Guadalupe on the ground in the shutout win for Farmington.

Bloomfield 46, Rockville 0: The Rams remain winless after a shutout loss to Bloomfield Friday night, dropping the team to 0-5.

Bristol Eastern 48, Fermi 12: Fermi is still looking for its first win in more than two years after a trip to Bristol ended in a loss, despite two scores for the Falcons.

Northwest Catholic 27, Tolland 0: The Eagles were unable to handle the Indians offense, and failed to muster any points as they remain winless.

Valley Regional/Old Lyme 50, Enfield 7: The Raiders defense couldn’t bounce back from last week’s loss to Ellington-Somers as the team was trounced by Valley Regional/Old Lyme.

Stafford/East Windsor 30, Housatonic/Wamogo 6: The Bulldogs brought their offense to their date with Housatonic/Wamogo, getting a much needed win.

Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby 20, Old Saybrook/Westbrook 6: The Raiders keep their playoff hopes alive with an impressive win Saturday afternoon.
