ROUNDUP: Tolland girls soccer shuts out Hartford Public

TOLLAND — The Tolland girls soccer team shut down Hartford Public 7-0 Tuesday.

Tolland goals were scored by Alyssa Hurlbut, Julia Sprout, Emily Youmans, Taylor Bonadies, Alex Matteo, Jess Barry and Josie Angers.

Pitching in with assists were Youmans, Matteo, Molly Orr, Olivia Boucher and Marisa Dennis.

The seven goals came on 17 shots on goal against the Owls, and lifted Tolland to 4-0-2 on the year.

Glastonbury 3, South Windsor 1: The Tomahawks girls soccer team improves to 5-0-1 with the win over the Bobcats, who fall to 3-2-1 on the season.

Maddie Gray scored at the 24 minute mark to put GHS ahead 1-0 at the half.

Maddy Lamagna (74 minutes) and Eren Cosgel (76) added goals for GHS.

Lauren Biancardi scored (77) for SWHS.

Both GHS-Ciara Boucher and SWHS-Kristina Russo-had four saves in net.

South Windsor plays next at Windsor on Friday.

Boys Soccer

Glastonbury 3, South Windsor 0: Evan Hassett scored a first half goal and Chris Lockwood and James Duchesneau scored in the final 10 minutes as Glastonbury (5-0-1) beats visiting South Windsor (2-3-1).  Chase Conway made three saves for GHS; Dylan Purcell 11 for South Windsor.

Field Hockey

Glastonbury 1, Enfield 0: The Tomahawks won a defensive battle against the Raiders, improving to a perfect 5-0 on the year.

Leah Gourley scored the game’s only goal with 11:58 remaining in the first half, assisted by Yasmeen Saeed and Leyna DiMarco.

The Tomahawks out shot Enfield 11-3. Enfield’s Maddie LaRusso made four saves to keep the Raiders in the game.

Farmington 3, Fermi 0:  Farmington spread the scoring wealth as Rachel Andreana, Joan Bosma and Jordyn Rappaport each scored.

Farmington’s goalie  Jennifer Geyer  had four saves while Fermi goalie Jillian Lapponese had five saves.
