East Windsor soccer plays well in draw

EAST WINDSOR — The East Windsor boys soccer team, 0-1-1, Hosted East Granby, 0-1-1, on Friday Sept. 9th. Both Teams played very well despite the lack of scoring in the tie game.
Ryan Gibbs had an outstanding game for East Windsor.
Bryan Perron, the goalkeeper for EW, had an outstanding game stopping three one on one situations to keep the Panthers in the game. He had five big saves total The game went into overtime and both teams were able to hold their own.
East Windsor hosts Stafford in its next game.
Girls Volleyball
Granby 3, Ellington 1: The Knights won a big second set, 25-21 to tie the match at a game apiece, but ultimately lost after bitter 21-25 and 23-25 defeats down the stretch.
Sam Salwa was dynamic in the loss, tallying 15 kills, 40 assists, five aces and 16 digs. Amber Agnew had 29 digs, along with an ace, and Jenna Ferguson had 34 assists and six kills.
Ellington travels to Coventry Monday.
