Enfield softball wins 10/11 tournament opener

NEWINGTON — Enfield pulled out a 15-5 win on Monday night over Hamden in their first game of the 10/11 year old State softball Tournament. They now move on to play Glastonbury Tuesday night at 7:30 in Newington.

Monday night was a total team effort. Nearly every Enfield player scored a run. Defensively they worked out of two bases loaded jams, without surrendering a run, Emily Tarko, Jolie Guerrette and Destiny Bailey combined for a 2 hitter on the mound.

Offensively the entire team was the MVP of this game with Hannah Farr leading the way with three runs.
